The da Vinci® robot

The London Clinic uses the da Vinci® Surgical System, the latest robotic-assisted surgery technique, which is used to treat prostate cancer by removing the prostate through keyhole surgery. There are only a few such ‘robots’ in the UK. At The London Clinic our staff affectionately refer to the robot as Leonardo.

Aesthetic surgery

Located in a self-contained wing of the hospital, The London Clinic's dedicated plastic and aesthetic surgery unit has 12 ensuite single rooms. Specialist surgical procedures undertaken here at the Clinic include general breast surgery, breast augmentation, mastectomy for breast cancer (single or bilateral), prophylactic mastectomy and breast reconstruction after mastectomy, as well as many other general plastics and aesthetic procedures.

The sisters and charge nurses in the unit all hold specialist plastic surgery qualifications and have extensive experience in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery.  Every patient on the unit benefits from their specialist skills and knowledge.

The unit has a specialist treatment room for dressing changes and certain minor procedures.

All plastic surgeons based at The London Clinic are fully accredited members of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS) and the British Association of Aesthetics Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
