Supportive Care

Cancerbackup

The impact of a diagnosis of cancer has an effect on patients, their families and friends.  It may raise a range of questions about the disease and its treatment, as well as how to cope practically and emotionally.  Cancerbackup and The London Clinic work in partnership together to provide information about cancer and its treatment, and about the practical help and support available on living with cancer.  Our information can be found in different mediums including leaflets, booklets, books, audio-cassettes, videos and the internet.

The Cancerbackup Information Centre is located on the 2nd floor of The London Clinic next to the outpatient oncology unit.  The centre is staffed and run by a Cancerbackup Information Nurse Specialist, who is a qualified cancer nurse with extensive experience in all the issues that affect cancer patients, their family and friends.  The centre is open free of charge, on a drop in basis, from 9am - 4.30pm to all patients, their families, carers and friends.

If you would like to refer a patient or make an enquiry please contact our Cancerbackup Information Nurse Specialist, Rachel Walker on 020 7616 7628.
