Voice disorders
In addition, we have a specialist clinic dedicated to voice
disorders. The Clinic specialises in the treatment of the
professional voice, which is especially relevant to those patients
whose speech is integral to their livelihood: for example, actors,
singers and those who give business presentations.
Paediatric ENT service
The London Clinic
has a floor devoted to ENT inpatients and nurses trained in both
ENT nursing and paediatric nursing. It is licensed to admit
children over the age of three.
The operating theatres and the ward are well equipped to deal with
a wide range of paediatric ENT problems, including surgery for glue
ear and removal of tonsils and adenoids.
There are also full facilities for carrying out complex middle ear
surgery, including cochlear implantation in children; for
performing nasal surgery, including endoscopic nasal surgery; and
for laryngeal procedures, including microlaryngoscopy and laser
treatment of laryngeal papillomas.
To help children feel more at home we have created a unique
environment where everything from bedspreads, pictures, games and
toiletries, to the nurses' tabards and the menus, are designed with
children in mind.
