Pectoral Enhancement
If you are unable to achieve the chest size
and shape you want despite correct exercise and diet, pectoral
implants can enhance and improve your chest area in balance with
the rest of your body.
Process
You will be required to have a general
anaesthetic and overnight stay.
Pectoral enhancement is designed to increase
the chest size and shape through the insertion of silicone implants
under the chest muscle. Pectoral implants are usually made of solid
silicone.
In the majority of cases, the surgeon will
prefer to insert the implant endoscopically. An endoscope – a small
tube with a camera on the end and attached to a monitor is inserted
through an incision under the armpit. This guides the surgeon with
precision in inserting the implant whilst also reducing the size of
the incision, bleeding and scarring. The implants are then held in
place by overlying chest muscle.
Post-surgery
You will be required to take a week off work
and also to avoid any strenuous activity for up to a month. Full
recovery is usually complete within six weeks.
The effects of pectoral enhancement are
permanent.
