PermaLip™ is a revolutionary new,
permanent lip implant that was introduced to the UK in 2007 and is
already proving a great success. Permalip is an alternative to
injectable fillers.
Process
The 20-minute procedure will be performed under local
anaesthetic. Permalip is made from soft, but solid silicone,
tapered into a shape corresponding to the dimensions of the
lips.
The implants are put into place via two small incisions in the
corner of the mouth on both the upper and lower lips. The implant
is then passed through a tunnel created in the lip and
centred.
Post-surgery
Your lips will swell disproportionately to the minimally
invasive nature of the procedure and swelling will last for 3-4
days, bruising for 7-8 days. Lips will be sensitive to pressure for
approximately two weeks.
Unlike injectable fillers, Permalip will not need to be replaced
or renewed at specific time intervals and, most importantly, it is
removable, should you wish to return to your original lip
appearance.
