Cheek Implants
Cheeks create a youthful and balanced profile,
but with ageing the cheeks can become sunken and appear
‘hollow’.
Process
An incision is made inside the mouth or
through an opening just beneath the lower eye lashes. This allows
the surgeon to create a pocket in the facial tissue in which to
secure the implant.
Soft silicone implants inserted into the upper
cheek will help give high cheekbone definition, while implants in
the lower or mid-cheek section will help to fill out a sunken face.
Lower and mid-cheek implants can be achieved either with soft
silicone implants or using by using fat transfer – where fat is
used form elsewhere on your body.
Post-Surgery
Recuperation will depend on the individual.
You can usually expect the return to work after two days to a week
when the bruising and swelling has subsided.
The effects of soft silicone implants will be
permanent, the fat transfer procedure is slightly less
permanent.
