Post Surgery

After you have had your surgery, your consultant, alongside our dietitians will give you a specifically designed eating plan to follow.  No matter which procedure you and your consultant decides upon, you will be changing your eating habits significantly (which may include: eating three meals a day, eating healthily and avoiding foods and habits that may be harmful).

Our specialists will continue you follow-up for at least one year to help you obtain optimum results from your surgery.

Stabilisation

Following surgery, most patients will lose weight under supervision and continue to do so for 18 to 24 months. Most patients settle into a new dietary pattern by one year post-op. At this point referral back to the local GP is made with long term monitoring advice.

Cosmetic and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

At The London Clinic we have a team of specialist consultants who have many years of experience in enhancing and improving the body, especially after weight loss surgery.

After experiencing such dramatic weight loss many patients will experience loose wrinkling skin and loss of tone throughout the body.  Cosmetic surgery, such as a body lift, is often necessary after massive weight loss from gastric surgery.  The body lift will remove excess sagging skin and fat tissue from around the thighs, abdomen, hip area, buttocks and any other areas of the body requiring attention.
