The London Clinic took part in the annual Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning last Friday 26 September 2014.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning saw organisations and individuals across the UK selling cakes, scones and baked treats to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We held several events at The London Clinic; the main one in the reception of the Duchess of Devonshire Wing at 22 Devonshire Place and another in our Radiology department.

Cakes were kindly donated by members of staff with varieties of chocolate gateaux, cupcakes, lemon polenta, muffins, almond and espresso slices, and Victoria sponges to lure the visitors, patients, consultants and staff into making a purchase. The Clinic raised a grand total of £402 with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Well done to Cleo Dlomo, the Clinic’s Macmillan Palliative Clinical Nurse Specialist and our Radiology team for their efforts and to everyone who supported it.

Nuala Close, Matron at the Clinic said: “We are proud to support such a wonderful cause which is also very close to our hearts here at The London Clinic. We had a great morning with lots of very generous visitors, staff and patients. We would like to thank everyone that supported this worthy cause by donating cakes or purchasing one. The money raised will make a real difference to helping cancer patients and their families.”
