A comprehensive range of scans

The imaging department at The London Clinic has over 60 full-time staff who provide a full diagnostic imaging service.

We provide a comprehensive range of both inpatient and outpatient investigative procedures in an efficient, comfortable and stress-free environment.

Equipment is continually updated and the technology is in place to offer the latest diagnostic imaging techniques as well as a full nuclear medicine service.

Nuclear medicine is widely used in oncology and also makes it possible for gastroenterologists to assess gut transit, orthopaedic surgeons to investigate joint infections and for endocrinology specialists to investigate endocrine function.

We combine the most advanced technology and facilities with leading radiology expertise to provide a first-class patient experience and world-class reporting.

We are committed to continual upgrading of our software and systems to make sure that our equipment is always at the leading edge of clinical practice.

Our specialist Interventional Radiologists also offer therapeutic procedures that are guided by imaging technology.

Out of hours service

We understand that many tests can often be clinically urgent, so we are pleased to provide a radiologist-supported 24-hour emergency CT, MRI, ultrasound, interventional radiology and X-ray service to all inpatients. Our consultants have remote access to our systems so that they can immediately review the images and issue a report.

Medical imaging: review and storage

To ensure the highest quality viewing, reporting, distribution and management of clinical images, we offer a state-of-the-art picture, archiving and communication system (PACS). This system enables our consultant radiologists and referring clinicians to have immediate access to all our images and reports. Reporting is performed digitally and we store all images and reports permanently and securely.
