Professional profile

Mr Jig Patel graduated from Southampton University in 1991. His orthopaedic surgical training was based in major London hospitals and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
Mr Patel undertook specialist training at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. His sub-specialist training was enhanced by a year long fellowship in Ontario Canada in hip and knee surgery.
Mr Patel has been a NHS consultant at Kings College, London in 2002 and joined University College Hospital in 2004. Mr Patel is a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK).
Mr Patel's trauma interests include fixation of fractures using minimally invasive techniques. He has interests in hip and knee disorders which include computer assisted joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic knee surgery, including ACL reconstruction.
