Xtreme Everest 2
04 February 2013

The London Clinic is proud to be sponsoring and providing clinical testing for the Xtreme Everest 2 expedition.

With one in five people being an intensive care patient at some point in their life, The London Clinic felt it was important to support the research being carried out by this group of intrepid intensive care doctors, nurses and scientists.

The study group is investigating people’s ability to adapt to low levels of oxygen at high altitude, in order to develop treatments that will benefit critically ill patients in intensive care.

Despite intensive care being one of the most sophisticated areas of hospital care, even in the 21st century there is still limited understanding of why some people survive and others do not.
