The London Clinic, has this month been awarded a prestigious 5 star Food Hygiene Rating by Westminster City Council, as part of a new initiative with the Food Standards Agency’s existing rating scheme.

This outstanding score, which is based at the very top of the ratings scale, is only awarded to those facilities that exhibit exceptional compliance to industry guidelines.

The London Clinic’s Food Services Department is able to offer a bespoke catering service where their dedicated team of top class chefs (who each bring with them experience of working in high-end restaurants), produce an excellent and varied menu of a wide range of dishes. These are prepared to the highest standards from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.

Through this team, the hospital is able to provide specialist menus which can be prepared to meet dietary, cultural and religious requirements, such as Halal meals, vegetarian options and a specially tailored children’s menu.

Marina Griffin, Director of Operations comments; “It is great honour to achieve this industry-standard recognition, which we believe reflects the very high guidelines we expect our catering team to adhere to. Good nutrition is vitally important for any patient undergoing treatment here at The London Clinic, and we pride ourselves on being able to develop such a range of specialist menus within our kitchens.

“This award also provides the very best reassurance for all of our patients and visitors that the levels of hygiene within our food preparation areas are second-to-none.”
